Hair Trends in 2014
I was recently looking through Sarahs blog Life in a Breakdown and discovered this rather wonderful competition. Sarah has teamed up with CoolBlades to give 2 bloggers the chance to win fantastic prizes for writing a blog post about hairstyles, specifically hairstyle trends in 2014. You can find out more about the competition here. Below are the three trends I think we will see in 2014, these include UpDo's, Fringes and Accessories keep reading to find out more...
I think that no matter how they are styled Up-Dos will be key in 2014. Gone are the days when long beachy waves were king, now messy Up-Dos rule the hair-o-sphere, maybe even with the help of a few beautiful accessories. Achieving one of these Up-Dos isn't as impossible as you might think, below I have chosen a few favourites...
I created this look last year and will definitely be doing it again. I clipped up the top section of my hair, tied the remainder in a low side ponytail. The I twirled the ponytail into a low side bun. Curled the hair I clipped up earlier in sections and pinned them into the bun one by one. This really is the simplest version of an updo, even I could manage it!
I do love a fringe, I am constantly changing mine, but I have a feeling we will see lots of short fringes this year! I currently have a side fringe but will be visiting the hair dressers later this week to get a new full fringe, I just can't resist I adore them.
Accessories can make or break a hairstyle & I am going to share with you some of the ones I think will be seen a lot in 2014!
Diy Hair Accessories
Everyone loves unique hair accessories and what better way to guarantee you wont find anyone else wearing the same than to make your own. DIY has become very popular this year and I think personalised hair accessories will become be a hit in 2014.
If you would like to learn how to make the star hair pins in the picture you can visit Minted Strawberry where you will find a full tutorial.
So that concludes my thoughts on the hair trends of this year, what hair trends do you think 2014 will bring? Thankyou for reading.
